Midwest Fit Fest

We are proud to announce that Indiana University's Campus Recreational Sports is hosting Midwest Fit Fest February 25-27, 2011!

The inspiration for the very first Midwest Fit Fest was realized at a Region III Lead On conference in 1999. Since that time, this conference has been held annually at various schools around our region and the Midwest. The two-day conference (all day Saturday through lunch on Sunday) is a wonderful professional development opportunity allowing undergraduate students, graduate students, non-student university-affiliated staff, and professional staff to work together to share ideas, network, learn new skills, and receive the continuing education needed for professional development. We are currently working on CEC's to be granted for attending certain sessions as well.

This year's Fit Fest will cost $40 for students, $45 for professional staff at a university setting, and $50 for community members. Registration will open January 10, 2011 and will close February 15, 2011. In the meantime, please consider contributing to this year's conference by applying to be a presenter. We are looking for quality presentations that are rooted in proper fitness principles, but that are also fun, creative, and provide more in-depth education on topics and training techniques that are relevant to the university fitness setting and our participants. More details about the Presentation Proposal process is described below.

General conference questions can be directed to Kristen Malmstrom, Graduate Assistant Chair of the Host Committee. She can be reached by email at or by phone at 812-855-9760.

Registration was open January 10-February 15. Registration is now closed and the conference is full. There will be no on-site registration.
