ABOUT THE RACE
 Jill Behrman was an IU student and an employee of Campus Recreational Sports. In May of 2000, Jill left for a solo bike ride and never came back. Three years later it was discovered that she had been murdered. Now in its 12th year, the JB5K was created to keep the memory of Jill alive and to bring awareness to issues of violence in our community.
In addition to the 5K run/walk and 1-mile walk on October 22nd, workshops related to assault awareness, assault prevention and self-defense will be offered throughout the year. Proceeds benefit the Jill Behrman Emerging Leader Scholarship and are used to fund assault awareness and self-defense workshops.
