Kathy

Kathy started cycling regularly after moving to Bloomington for graduate studies, and joined the CycleFit staff in 2009 after years of benefiting from CycleFit herself. Kathy holds Masters' degrees in West European Studies, Library Science, and Information Science from IU. She hopes to help participants build fitness that will make them comfortable riding outside in the Bloomington area if they choose. When she's not on her bike, you can often find her hiking, camping, or competing in agility with her Golden Retrievers.

Judy

Judy is an educational researcher by day and an avid cyclist by night. She started leading cycle classes in Reno, Nevada in 2005 and moved to Bloomington in May 2008. She loves a challenging climb, when she is not walking the dogs, cooking, or crunching numbers. Her workout philosophy is, "if you're not having fun, there is something wrong."

Randi

Randi is an IU graduate who lives and works in Bloomington. While in school she rode for a little 500 team and the IU cycling team. She has little 500 coaching experience as well as several years of racing experience in both road and off-road cycling. Come to her sessions for a great workout!

Chera McCabe

Chera is a Fitness and Wellness Group Exercise/ Yoga/ Pilates and CycleFit Graduate Assistant at Campus Recreational Sports. She is in the School of Public Health and pursuing a M.S in Health Promotion. Chera received her Undergraduate Degree from the University of Oregon in June 2011 and worked as an Adjunct Cycling Instructor at the UO until June 2012. She has lead Group Exercise sessions since 2010 and received her National Certification in Group Exercise from ACE. With a strong background in Dance among various other formats, Chera is geared up, energized and enthusiastic to help you reach your health and fitness goals.

Laura MooreShay

Laura is a graduate student at IU working on a joint MSES/MPA degree. She joined the RecSports team in 2012, and you'll find her teaching CycleFit at the SRSC. She also loves running in road races, weight lifting, and being active outdoors. Come check out one of her sessions for a fun and challenging workout!


Kaitlyn Reho

Kaitlyn is a recent graduate of IU. She is certified as a Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and has been leading since 2011. She loves to keep busy and stay active, especially running. She has run countless 5Ks, 5 half marathons, and 1 full marathon! Kaitlyn would love to see you in her Trekking, CycleFit, and Strength/Core sessions and help you achieve your fitness goals.


Jackie Macal

Jackie came to IU in 2004 and fell in love with group exercise! Since starting as a participant, she has become RecSports and AFAA certified to teach Step, Strength Training, Core, Boot Camp, Kickboxing, and Cycling! Even after graduating in 2008, Jackie continues to be a part of RecSports because she loves motivating students, faculty, staff, and community members to achieve their goals through group exercise. Her goal as an instructor is to make participants have so much fun that they lose track of time and finish looking forward to next week!


AnnMaria Schiavone

AnnMarie began leading in 2012 with Cardio Kickboxing. She is ACE certified with additional certifications in PiYo, Turbo Kick, and Level 1 yoga. She is a undergraduate in Journalism. AnnMarie is also a fitness coach, fitness blogger, and regular participant in many group ex classes! She loves just about anything that involves a good sweat!


Miriam Woods

Miriam is a graduate student in the departments of Central Eurasian Studies and Folklore & Ethnomusicology and has been at IU since 2010. She enjoys dancing, cooking, traveling, and of course working out! Miriam started teaching Deep Water Exercise in the fall of 2012. She believes that exercise is one of the key components of a healthy lifestyle and would love to see you at a Deep Water Exercise session soon for a fun workout in the pool!


Hannah Ervin

Hannah E. began working with Group Ex in the Spring of 2012. She is obtaining her B.S. in Human Biology and a minor in Dance, hoping to one day become a Physical Therapist specializing in dance or trauma related injuries. Hannah began leading Cardio Kickboxing and loves it even more now than she did then, though she is currently trying to expand in some other programs that Group Ex has to offer as well. Hannah also tries to make eating healthful foods and exercising her top priority and enjoys teaching others in her residential community that you CAN make exercising challenging as well as fun!


Rachel Rector

Rachel began instructing with group exercise in the Fall of 2012 teaching Cardio Core. She is an undergrad studying elementary education. She came in with no background to group exercise but is now a regular attender who enjoys exercising to the music. She enjoys getting others excited about exercise and loves having a fun and happy time in the gym with others!
