Bryon

Byron joined the group fitness staff in the Spring of 2006 after being a long-time participant in the program. He is looking forward to continuing as a CycleFit leader this year, because he just really enjoy the whole group exercise experience Currently, Byron is finishing up his Doctoral degree in Communication and Culture where he studies Rhetoric and Public Culture as well as media studies.

Cody

Cody is a second year Graduate Student at IU studying Applied Sport Science. He has worked in a fitness center for the past four years and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Health Fitness Specialist. When he is not in the rec center, Cody can be found hiking, camping, cycling, and cooking.

Colleen

Colleen obtained her Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Tennessee. She has been leading group exercise classes for over 8 years and is certified by the American Council on Exercise and the American College of Sports Medicine (ASCM-HFI). Her goal is to provide a fun, motivating group exercise experience to help you achieve your personal fitness goals. Her hobbies include running, cycling, reading and playing with her labradoodle!

Jared

Get ready to sweat and be energized! Jared encourages you to work hard and feel great while doing it! You'll find him leading CycleFit along with PowerStrength and Step sessions. Jared moved here from Oregon and is a doctoral student in Spanish Literature. You might also see him whiz by on the road - he loves to cycle!

Joellan

Joellan is the Assistant Director over Group Exercise and Mind Body programs here at Recreational Sports. She has her Masters of Science in Movement Sciences and holds fitness certifications from ACE and AFAA. Outside of her overwhelming passion for helping people achieve their fitness goals and find the fun in being physically active in daily living, Joellan has a deep interest in the many other dimensions of wellness that contribute to overall health.

Kathy

Kathy started cycling regularly after moving to Bloomington for graduate studies, and joined the CycleFit staff in 2009 after years of benefiting from CycleFit herself. Kathy holds Masters' degrees in West European Studies, Library Science, and Information Science from IU. She hopes to help participants build fitness that will make them comfortable riding outside in the Bloomington area if they choose. When she's not on her bike, you can often find her hiking, camping, or competing in agility with her Golden Retrievers.

Kelley

Kelley is an undergraduate majoring in Physical and Health Education. She has participated in group exercise for years and enjoys a variety of classes. She is extremely excited to be leading both Cyclefit and strength classes. Kelley loves working with people and cares about the health, fitness and well-being of those around her. She can't wait to see you in class!

Judy

Judy is an educational researcher by day and an avid cyclist by night. She started leading cycle classes in Reno, Nevada in 2005 and moved to Bloomington in May 2008. She loves a challenging climb, when she is not walking the dogs, cooking, or crunching numbers. Her workout philosophy is, “if you’re not having fun, there is something wrong.”

Randi

Randi is an IU graduate who lives and works in Bloomington. While in school she rode for a little 500 team and the IU cycling team. She has little 500 coaching experience as well as several years of racing experience in both road and off-road cycling. Come to her sessions for a great workout!

Rebecca

Rebecca is a couch potato turned running enthusiast as well as a PhD student in French Linguistics and Second Language Studies. She enjoys training and cross-training for distance races, which is why you will find her leading not only Cyclefit, but Trekking and Deep Water Exercise too. Rebecca has a ton of energy and is always pushing the envelope - her goal in every session is for you to leave tired and smiling!
