Court Reservations Require No Extra Fee
All Recreational Sports members may call ahead to reserve a court for the following:
Racquetball/Squash/Wallyball
Racquetball and Squash courts are available at both the SRSC and the HPER and are free of charge to members. They may be reserved up to 24 hours in advance of use, for one hour per person. The SRSC offers two glass competition and five regular racquetball courts, and two official squash courts (two soft ball); the HPER offers 10 racquetball/squash courts, two of which can be converted into squash courts using tell-tales. Racquetball courts can only be reserved for racquetball, table tennis, and wallyball play at the SRSC. Since more courts are available at HPER, racquetball courts can be reserved at HPER for dance. See more information on the dance reservation page. To make a reservation, call 812-855-SRSC (7772) or 855-5222 (HPER).
Table Tennis
Table Tennis tables are located in HPER 293 and at the SRSC in the racquetball hallway and on the lower level. Equipment can be checked out from the EQ desk at both buildings. In the SRSC, table tennis can be played in an unreserved racquetball court or in hallways not blocking an exit. The tables in HPER 293 cannot be moved from that location.
Volleyball
If you are interested in playing Volleyball in HPER 293 or on SRSC Center Court #3 we recommend calling ahead to reserve a court. Call 812-855-SRSC (7772) or 855-5222 (HPER). Note: SRSC Court #3 is a Volleyball priority court which means that during intramural basketball season โ a minimum of four volleyball players are needed to play volleyball in order to have priority of the court over the basketball players. Any basketball game being played will be given five minutes to finish. You must notify the Informal Sports Supervisor at Center Court or at the turnstiles of your desire to play volleyball. They will notify the basketball players and set up necessary equipment. In order to assure use of the court, call to reserve a volleyball court ahead of time.
Women's Priority Basketball Courts
Women who enjoy basketball can play on courts reserved specifically for their use at both the HPER and SRSC. HPER Wildermuth Court 6 and SRSC Court 2 is the Women’s priority court during all Informal Sport hours.
