Intramural Sports Officials
The Best Job on Campus for Sports Fans
Do you love sports? If so then this is the job for you!!! We are looking for students who want to be around sports in an active role.
Intramural officials will work with specific sports of their choosing (Outdoor Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Indoor Soccer and Basketball). Officials will be put through approximately 6-12 hours of training before each sport. We evaluate officials during the training and throughout the season.
Games are scheduled Sunday through Thursday late afternoons and evenings. We schedule based on your availability. Officials generally work 6-12 hours per week. Sport seasons generally run 4-6 weeks. Locations are throughout campus recreation facilities including the Wildermuth (SPHB) Gym and the Student Recreational Sports Center (SRSC).
All Intramural Officials have the opportunity to become a member of the Intramural Officials Association (IOA), which provides extra opportunities for officials to enhance their officiating knowledge through various means. IOA also gives out awards to Intramural Officials for their contributions to the program throughout the year!
Job Features:
Officials work in groups of two or three, depending on the sport. Starting pay is $7.85 per hour.

Intramural Sports Supervisors
Our intramural supervisors work throughout the school year in a variety of sports. Intramural supervisors oversee various intramural sports including but not limited to flag football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, tennis, and other special events.
Specific Responsibilities:
They work with participants by reporting games of the night as well as taking photos, and addressing concerns, incidents, and accidents that occur during intramural sports.
Qualifications:
An ability to communicate and interact with participants is required. Good interpersonal skills and maturity strongly desired.
Job Features:
Approximately 6 hours available weekly. Starting pay is $8.10 for supervisors.
ABOUT THE INTRAMURAL SPORTS PROGRAM
Intramural Sports at Indiana University are organized, structured tournaments that promote competition between groups and individuals fostering a spirit of fair play and sportsmanship. The Intramural Sports program offers team, dual and individual events throughout the course of the school year. We offer events in three divisions: Co-intramural (men & women); women's and men's; and provide different skill levels to choose from. Some Intramural Sports include: softball, tennis, flag football, bowling, racquetball, cornhole, indoor soccer, volleyball, table tennis, golf, euchre, basketball, soccer.
