Recreational Lap Pool

Located at the SRSC, this state-of-the-art pool features water kept at a comfortable 82°F (27.8°C), a 23-lane 25-yard lap pool (also can be configured as an eight-lane 50-meter or eight-lane 25-yard competition course). CBAC also includes a more than 4200 square foot diving well pool kept at a very comfortable 87°F (30.56°C) featuring four 25 yard lap lanes and one and three-meter springboards as well as one and three-meter platforms for recreational diving use.

Located in the School of Public Health, this six-lane, 25-yard lap pool is maintained at a temperate 84°F (28.9°C) and a 1500 square foot diving pool is kept at a very comfortable 86°F (30°C) for recreational swimming or 1-meter diving.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a "lap" and a "length"?

A length is the distance from one wall to other in the pool. A lap is two lengths of the pool.


When the pool is set up 25 yards:

  • One length is 25 yards

  • Two lengths is one lap (50 yards)

When the pool is set up 50 meters

  • One length is 50 meters

  • Two lengths is one lap (100 meters)

How many laps are in mile?

  • 25 Yard Configuration: 66 Lengths/33 Laps is a mile

  • 50 Meter Configuration: 30 Lengths/15 Laps is a mile
